Student Voices

Hung Nguyen & Lam Dinh | Vietnam

BOTH: “Hello!"

HN: “I really like studying at SUNY Plattsburgh because this is where I met my good friends. We take part in the college’s activities together every week. The professors are very friendly as well. I can easily go to their offices to get extra help with my classes.”

LD: ”There are also various kinds of clubs to join and learn about cultures of other countries and about leadership skills. There are also many locations near Plattsburgh where we can explore American culture such as New York City, Boston, and Burlington, or even Montreal in Canada. All those locations are beautiful!”

Beza Tuga | Ethiopia

“The benefit of attending a small, predominantly undergraduate institution like SUNY Plattsburgh is the student’s ability to easily access their professors through office hours or just running into them in the hallway! I started doing research by simply going to my professor’s office and asking. Since then, my personal and professional life has been transformed in a very positive way. Through my work with one of my Chemistry professors, I have been able to attend and present at regional and national conferences, win awards from my department and external sources, and receive a paid, competitive summer fellowship that allowed me to gain even more research experience beyond Plattsburgh!”
